Katrina Damkoehler is the illustrator of the Tiger's Curse series book covers. She mostly gravitates towards Children's Book design and illustration and loves any creative work that tells a story and connects emotionally to the audience.
History[]
Damkoehler was raised in rural Western Massachusetts. She was the oldest of five kids. At the age of 18, she moved to New York to study design and illustration at Pratt Institute. Upon graduation, Damkoehler entered the wilds of Childeren's Book Publishing, starting at G.P. Putnam's Sons and Philomel Books as an Art Department Assistant. As she made her way up the ladder, she learned for a number of skilled mentors. Damkoehler is now the Assistant Art Director at Sterling Children's Books. In addition to her full-time job, she works as a freelance illustrator and designer.
