The Mother Goddess
The Birth of DurgaEdit
There are many variations of how Durga came to be. In the Tiger's Curse Saga, Durga was sent by the gods in the form of a warrior woman to defeat an evil demon. After defeating the monster, the woman became the goddess of female empowerment.
In the fourth book of the series, Durga gives the tiger princes armor, swords, and shields. She has become even more flirtatious with Kishan than ever before, foreshadowing future events. Later, the characters travel back in time in order to defeat Lokesh in his demon form. They find that in order to do so, they must help the warrior Anamika destroy the monster and make her into the goddess she was destined to be. In the end, Phet reveals that she needs a new tiger in order to lift the curse. Kishan decides to become her lifelong companion.
In the Tiger's Curse Saga, Durga is portrayed as a motherly figure. However, she has been known to reveal her alluring nature when Kishan is in her temple. In Tiger's Destiny, Anamika is a strong and independent warrior who shows compassion for her fellow fighters.
